Citizen participation and collaboration
The city of Sant Feliu has a long tradition of experiences of citizen participation when defining public policies, participating in numerous participatory processes that have served to capture the orientation of citizens when it comes to guiding the work of the municipal government. Over the years, progress has gradually been made in a way of governing from the proximity, based on favoring the articulation of diverse networks in the government process.
Regulation of participation and citizen collaboration
The city of Sant Feliu de Llobregat has since 2018 a new Regulation of Citizen Participation and Collaboration (PDF), which had the participation and involvement of various groups from the initial moment of its development. Its writing was led by a paper in which all the municipal political groups participated, with internal work sessions with the municipal team to detect their proposals for improvement in the field of citizen participation. The process of participation of the Regulation also took into account the formal participation bodies, through which the entities that form part could express their opinions in the face of the challenge of improving citizen participation in the municipality. A questionnaire was also made open to the public to identify their priorities in the field of participation.
